May 16, 2012 CNHA's 2nd Annual Navajo Rug Auction Sat. Sept. 8th, 2012
Date: Sat., September 8, 2012 Location: 1861 North Highway 191, Moab UT (at Canyonlands by Night - just north of the Colorado River Bridge) Schedule: Appraisals from 9am-noon ($10 per rug) Preview of auction items - 10am - noon Auction starts at 1 pm Navajo tacos and drinks will be available for purchase. CNHA and auctioneers R. B. Burnham & Co. will again be presenting over two hundred quality Navajo rugs and other Native American items for auction in scenic Moab, Utah. Proceeds benefit Navajo weavers and scientific research on the Colorado Plateau. The auction venue is a great way to learn about Native American art. The Burnham crew is happy to spend time before and after the auction discussing artists, art, and other aspects of the area where they live and work. While you are in town for the auction, you can also enjoy the Moab Music Festival, and be treated to not only beautifully crafted Navajo rugs, but also to great music by world-class musicians!
